Hello Friends!
Hope all of your Thanksgivings are wonderful and very filling in every way! Personally, adding cranberries to anything, makes it more wonderful don't you think? Plus pumpkin pie, LOVE the Pumpkin pie. Our ThanksGiving table has traditional American yummies and our own brand of Persian Thanksgiving treats. (Rice w/ Cranberries??? Oh yea!)
So now we are all gearing up for the big weekend- the Black Friday- the official kick off to all things holiday, all things that jingle all the way, all things fun and festive...
Just remember, of all the things we can all choose to do this year- we all have the power to spend our money where ever we choose to........So if possible, whenever possible-while out shopping this year, try to do your Christmas shopping at locally owned stores, independent shops and small merchants. Stop in little places that you might always drive by, drop into little stores you may have not stopped into for a long time, shop creative, shop small and support the little guys whenever possible.

Open House was a huge success!
Hi everybody! Just a quick note to those of you that made it out to the open house- thanks for stopping by!! For those of you that missed it- will be having a early Holiday Christmas Party in a couple of weeks- lots of great vintage holiday items---
By foot, by car and by bike! Everybody came and had a great time! Benny even was even kind enough to hold a baby while one of our customers shopped (I'm not sure who liked it more- the baby or Benny!)

What a Great Fall So Far -----
Ok, ok- I say it all the time, but its true- there is still fun things out there!! We traveled far and wide from Memphis to New Orleans to Houston to Little Rock and have found so many cool treasures!
Old lab parts, old antique tables, wonderful new line of soaps and perfumes by Tokyo Milk, so many new and vintage items--- the place is becoming jam packed with fun.... we keep bringing more and more in everyday...

Better Late Then Never!
It has been more than a month since I blogged. My camera was on the fritz- so I couldn't take any pictures, what fun is a blog without pictures? So I made up for it today= took out the old digital camera- and shot away!
Relics is full! Lots and lots of new stuff! Fantastic vintage and antique pieces... hope to see you soon.

A New Friend in the Neighborhood....
It's open and yes it's wonderful. What's better than wonderful?? Cracked Pepper Bakery my new neighbor in Averyville on Peoria's north side, is now open for business. Baking up fresh every day, the yummiest baked goods and purely wonderful delights that Peoria hasn't had ever before. As a traveler, I can say it's almost as good as strolling the streets of Paris- and coming upon a little gem of a patisserie tucked away, locally owned that the neighborhood has had a love affair with for years...a neighborhoods best kept secret, thats our little Cracked Pepper....
They also serve coffee, teas and great lunches.

Autumn is almost here....
Can you believe autumn is only a few weeks away?? Recently, I have seen trucks filled with pumpkins heading off toward the Libby's pumpkin pie factory in Morton, a true sign that fall is coming fast upon us. The weather has changed, the days are getting a little cooler and wow, the nights are down right chilly. Just thought this morning about digging out the heavier blankets for the bed.... ahhh summer went fast, but I really do love fall. The leaves changing colors, wearing sweaters and baking!
